And now for the
important news ....

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | The NFL narrowed its choice of Los Angeles stadiums Wednesday. It is between the Rose Bowl and a proposed site in inner-city Carson. League rules say you must interview a minority stadium before you hire the well-connected white stadium.

Yale Law School said no one was hurt when a bomb exploded in an empty classroom on Thursday. There's a reason the classroom was empty. The students dropped out earlier in the day when a Florida court put an end to class action tobacco lawsuits.

White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said Monday he will leave the Bush Administration to work in the private sector. Reaction was split. Republicans wished him good luck and Democrats say he never stopped working in the private sector.

The L.A. Times said the U.S. missed Saddam Hussein when it dropped four one-ton bombs on a Baghdad restaurant. Witnesses say he was out of the restaurant before the bombs hit. So cutting out desserts saved his life, just like the doctor told him.

Joe Lieberman announced a $150 billion plan to cure cancer and heart disease and multiple sclerosis. It's not that far- fetched. If President Bush can bring democracy to the Middle East then Joe Lieberman should have no trouble curing cancer.

Colin Powell met with Sudan's foreign minister Wednesday to discuss cooperation in the war on terrorism. Sudan is not known for its human rights record. This is a country whose number-one sitcom is Eight Simple Rules for Purchasing My Daughter.

Target said Wednesday it's reducing the space it gives to sporting goods and increasing the space it allots for food and candy. This is bad news indeed for Bill Clinton. It looks like Charles Barkley is going to be our first black president.
