Imbeciles, Idiots, and Jerks — Oh My!

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | And the winner of the Idiot for the Month of April Award goes to J. Ray Croliss, host of some stupid reality show on the Discovery Channel, for getting arrested when he attempted to parachute jump off the Empire State Building. If this clown isn't an idiot, there's no such word in the English language. Let's hope he gets a couple of months in the city slammer where maybe some hard time guys will parachute jump onto HIM.

The Idiot of the Month of May Award goes to President Bush for his ignoring the will of the vast majority of Americans who want to see our borders protected and secured. I support his strong and good fight against the Islamo-fascists who want to destroy all of western culture, but his stupid, stubborn attitude towards illegal immigration runs counter to his pledge to protect America. His plan to grant "guest worker" status to ilegals would amount to flat out amnesty plain and simple and his lackadaisical handling of our southern border is inviting danger.

If our current immigration laws were enforced with seriously stiff penalties to those who willingly employ ilegals and our borders were secured with additional guards and security fences, I guarantee a large chunk of the problem would be solved. Cut off the give-aways of federal, state and local welfare, housing, education, and medical support to non-citizens and watch the flow of ilegals turn around and suddenly start to head south. If the jobs stop and the government benefits stop then there's no reason to come up here anymore. Complicated? No, not really.

Among the imbeciles of the decade you can add the names of the jurors in the Zacarias Moussaoui trial who just couldn't bear to sentence that slime ball to death. Now this bastard who participated in the 9-11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 will live what will probably be a long natural life on the American taxpayers' dime. Nine out of the 12 U.S. jurors agreed that "emotional abuse" Moussaoui suffered as a child should be a mitigating factor in whether he gets the death penalty. If this guy doesn't deserve it, than who does? During the trial, Moussaoui's hatred and contempt for Americans was overt and ongoing. For over four years, he literally spit on this country and made a mockery out of our justice system. After the non-death sentence verdict was given and as he was led out of the court room, he said, "America, you lose." He was right.

One of the biggest scandals of our age is the one nobody knows about, thanks to the leftist jerks of the news media. I'm speaking of the U.N. "oil-for food" scheme, a disgraceful embezzlement of billions of dollars and power corruption involving an organization, the United Nations that claims to care about justice for all human life. According to The Wall Street Journal, one of the few newspapers that actually investigated this story, "Oil for Food is not about some isolated incidents of perceived or actual wrongdoing during the course of a seven-year effort to maintain sanctions on Iraq, monitor its oil flows and feed its people. Oil for Food is a story about what the U.N. is. And our conclusion from reading the 847-page report is that the U.N. is Oil for Food".

Anyone who wants to learn more about this can read it first hand in a featured article titled, "Oil for Food as Usual" on OpinionJournal.com. The Wall Street Journal has been doing insightful reporting on this scandal since it first broke more several years ago. The corruption within the U.N. goes all the way to the top, but the majority of the mainstream news organizations won't tell you that.

Young Americans are becoming geographic imbeciles according to a Roper poll conducted for National Geographic. Of Americans between the ages of 18 and 24, six in 10 couldn't find Iraq on a map of the Middle East. 75 percent were unable to locate Israel on that same map. Nearly one-third couldn't locate Louisiana and 48 percent were unable to find Mississippi on a U.S. map. When shown a map of Asia, only 47 percent were able to locate the subcontinent of India. We now have an entire generation of geographic idiots that can't locate Paris, France, but could probably tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Paris Hilton. All thanks to our jerky educational system.

And speaking of educated Americans, did you know that around 10% of the entire U. S. population actually believes that Elvis is alive? Did you know that more people cast votes for the "American Idol" television show than voted in the last political election?

There are so many imbeciles, idiots and jerks and so little space to write about them all. But I promise to do my best.
