Michael Moore inspires conservatives

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | "Fahrenheit 9/11" may not inspire Americans to vote against Bush, but it's already inspired direct action from Hollywood conservatives — who've displayed new nergy in response to the leftist onslaught by Michael Moore and others.

Two conservative film festivals — the American Film Renaissance in Dallas and the upcoming Liberty Film Festival in LA — feature dozens of provocative releases. A TV special on AMC called "Rated R: Republicans in Hollywood" highlighted the new outspokenness of industry conservatives.

And now a documentary from an Emmy-winning producer heads to theatres, called "Celsius 41.11 — The Temperature at Which the Brain Begins to Die," taking direct aim at Michael Moore — and John Kerry.

I'm proud to be part of all these projects — as keynote speaker for the two film festivals, and on-air commentator for the two movies.

Hollywood conservatives can't yet compete with leftists in commercial clout or flamboyant extremism, but we're beginning to show that creativity isn't a liberal monopoly.
