Still Crooked After All These Years

There are a few things you can depend on in this ever changing world: the sun will rise in the east and set in the west; all living things will eventually die; Bill and Hillary Clinton will lie, cheat, connive and steal to get what they want; and main stream media will either ignore it or play it down. Yep, it's comforting to know that some things never change.

I don't mean to sound cynical (well, actually I do) but it's so painfully obvious that Vermont senator Bernie Sanders' announcement that he is running for the Democratic nomination for president against Hillary is in fact nothing more than a way to make Hillary look better than she is. Think about it. What's the best way to make an aging liberal candidate seem not so old and not so liberal? Simple. Put her next to a candidate who looks even older than she does and who calls himself a "Democratic Socialist." It's just like magic, Abracadabra! Suddenly Hillary looks young and moderate in comparison!

Image hocus-pocus is one thing, all politicians engage in it more or less, but it is quite another thing altogether to break the law and deceive the American people for personal gain. But hey, that's what the Clintons do for a living. The problem is that they are given free rein to do so by their enablers; namely the Democratic power structure and the media.

A recent Wall Street Journal editorial questioned why no one in the Justice Department or the FBI has investigated the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton for accepting foreign donations while she was Secretary of State. The appearance of quid-pro-quo corruption is more than obvious in many instances. One major example is the Russian uranium deal.

Canadian mining executives and business partners, Ian Telfer and Frank Giustra, donated millions to the Clinton Foundation in the years leading up to, and during, a government review of a uranium mine deal in which Telfer's company stood to benefit. Hillary was one of several government officials on a committee that approved the sale of the mines to the Russians.

Coincidently (ha, ha), Bill Clinton was invited at about the same time to give a speech in Moscow by a bank with ties to the Kremlin and the mining company and was paid $500,000. Bill's speaking income skyrocketed after Hillary joined the State Department, raking in $48 million during the time that she was there. Yeah, just a serendipitous coincidence, I guess.

There was an agreement between the Clinton Foundation and the Obama White House not to accept donations from foreign governments while Hillary was secretary. But, oops, it turns out that there were a few exceptions during that period including Oman, Qatar and Kuwait donors. Also there was a $500,000 donation from the Algerian government, which the foundation failed to have reviewed by the State Department, while Algeria was lobbying the State Department to ease its criticism of its human-rights record. My, oh my.

The Wall Street Journal reported last February that as secretary, Hillary lobbied governments to sign deals and change restrictions aiding U.S. companies that happened to be donating to the Clinton Foundation. At least 60 companies that lobbied the State Department during her tenure donated a total of more than $26 million to the Clinton Foundation, according to the Journal's analysis of public and foundation disclosures. Wow, just another crazy coincidence.

The Clinton Foundation and the Clintons insist there isn't a "shred" of evidence that these actions were illegal, but maybe that's because the evidence has been "shredded." Hillary has admitted that she erased e-mails from when she was secretary of State that she kept on her personal server at home. And remember, everything she did while at the State Department she did on that personal server.

So why isn't all this at least being looked into? The FBI and the Justice Department have no problem going after Republicans and others who don't fall in line with the Obama White House. Why aren't they investigating Hillary? Could it be political? Oh darn, there I go being cynical again. Gosh.

Okay, so we all know that Obama's regime clearly isn't going to investigate the Clintons on this or anything else. But maybe the press will go after this big story of political corruption and cover-up involving influence-peddling and the Clinton Foundation adding up to hundreds of millions of dollars? Really? Ya think? HAHAHAHA!

Oh shucks, cynical again!
