Walt Disney Studio is Dead

If Walt Disney could be resurrected and returned to the company he started 100 years ago he wouldn't recognize the place.

More than the physical changes the place has undergone since his death, the corporate culture has shifted dramatically and has been turned on its head. The values and idealism which motivated Walt and played such an important role in his pictures are gone and have been replaced by a new ultra-progressive woke ideology. This ideology is at odds with the basic tenets and traditions of the classic cartoons and motion pictures that the Disney name has come to represent.

The company that once was the Walt Disney Studios is gone. Dead and buried. There still is a company called Disney but it has nothing to do with what Walt Disney created. The people in charge now and for the past couple of decades are decidedly left. Walt himself was a conservative Republican and his studio was known for leaning right.

Walt believed in American greatness and America's heroes and his films reflect that. He was a patriot. Walt believed in the importance and value of a solid family structure, what we call "the nuclear family" today.

Current Disney Company management embrace all the crazy leftwing ideas of woke thinking including transgender indoctrination for kindergarten children, non-binary genders, the lunacy that men can give birth to babies, the evils of America's founders, systemic white racism, and so much more. The mentality of the studio today is more in keeping with Karl Marx than it is with Walt Disney by a long shot.

Today's Disney executives have beliefs that are so diametrically opposite to what the studio has stood for and built a reputation around that it must eat at them like a cancer. It's got to make them crazy that their core audience are the people they despise, people whose values they not only don't share, but categorically resent. To that end, they have undertaken to either erase entirely or re-make the classic Disney characters, movies, and entertainments.

There have been so many examples of the rewriting of the Disney legacy in the last few years, it would take pages to list. But the most recent one concerns the Academy Award winning song, "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from the 1946 delightful movie, "Song of the South." The song is being scrubbed because it is considered to be racist and hateful. Here are the lyrics:

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh my, what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine headin' my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Mister Bluebird's on my shoulder
It's the truth, it's actual
Ev'rything is satisfactual
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Wonderful feeling, wonderful day, yes sir!

Mister Bluebird's on my shoulder
It is the truth, it's actual... huh?
Where is that bluebird? Mm-hm!
Ev'rything is satisfactual
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Wonderful feeling, wonderful day!

See how racist it is? How dare you sing a song about feeling good on a wonderful day? Clearly a white privilege emotion that no other race can identify with.

It was reported last month that Disneyland has removed the "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" lyric played during its park parades because it comes from a movie that has been criticized for racist portrayals of black Americans (which it doesn't). "Song of the South" is a wonderful heartwarming picture that portrays positive values and does not demean blacks in any way.

Disneyland officials said that the removal of the "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" song from the theme park resort is part of a continuous process to deliver an environment that features stories that are relevant and inclusive. The song was removed from music played in Downtown Disney, the shopping and dining district of the Disneyland resort, and in 2021 it was removed from the music played at the King Arthur Carrousel.

"Song of the South" is so controversial that the Disney wokesters locked it away for decades and even kept it off the extensive library of Disney+. You can't find it on DVD or anyplace else either. At the park, changes to the log flume ride in the park were made after Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. BLM is a Marxist hate group that traffics in lies, distortions, and fear.

Lately I hear that lyrics are being rewritten for some songs in the new "Little Mermaid" movie the company will be releasing soon because the original lyrics are considered too insensitive and hurtful for today's audiences.

If these idiots are intent on completely refashioning all the Disney classics, they have their work cut out for them. You can bet that they will do their damnedest to destroy the entire Walt Disney legacy before they're done.

They have no ability or talent to create, so all they can do is destroy what others have created.
