• Alec Baldwin began weeping during his ABC News interview last week in which he insisted he didn’t shoot the cinematographer that he shot. The mystery behind the fatal shooting was finally cleared up by investigators on Monday. Forensics determined there was a loose nut behind the trigger.

• The Weather Channel reports a frigid Arctic cold front blew into the Midwest this week. Night time temperatures dipped into single digits and the wind blowing in off Lake Michigan made it feel well below zero degrees. It was so cold in Chicago on Monday Jussie Smollett was sticking to his story.

• The Hollywood Reporter Monday reported dozens of rave reviews for the new version of the musical West Side Story directed and produced by Steven Spielberg. The show is so misleading. Last Friday night I walked into an alley in East Los Angeles and started dancing, and nobody joined in.

• CNN fired Chris Cuomo after a colleague said he groped her at a party sixteen years ago, this two days after CNN suspended him for digging up dirt on his brother’s groping accusers. CNN said Chris was fired for breaking CNN’s ethical rules. Jeffrey Toobin will explain them at ten o’clock.

• New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio announced Monday New York will mandate private businesses to require vaccinations for entry. There’s a lot of money in this. Every time a restaurant security guard demands to see your vaccination papers at the front door the Hitler family gets a residual check.

• President Biden re-started the policy that forces arriving illegal migrants to remain in Mexico until reviewed on Monday. There are currently about twenty million illegal immigrants living in this country. But if you ask any Native American the number is more like three hundred thirty million.

• The New York Times reported that Vladimir Putin put one hundred and seventy five thousand Russian troops on Ukraine’s eastern border on Monday. It’s show time. No one wants to say that things look ominous, but the Weather Channel reported that the five-day forecast for Ukraine is two days.

• The Los Angeles Times says crypto-currency trading website Crypto.com bought the naming rights to the Staples Center for $700 million for twenty years. It’s the Lakers home where Charlie Sheen, Paris Hilton, Jack Nicholson and Johnny Depp have partied on the front row over the years. The Staples Center is the only basketball arena in the world where the nosebleed seats are court side.
