The return of racism and violence: Thanks, Obama

Oh, the silly, silly whites who thought that electing Barack Hussein Obama would ensure that America was indeed a post racial nation. Too bad they didn't realize that Obama had plans to derail progress in that notion because that's what socialists do to capitalist societies-they destroy them. If the fawning media had ever bothered to properly vet the Illinois senator's background, reporters would not be feeling that tingle up their legs but rather they'd get an uh-oh feeling in the pit of their stomachs. He was raised by socialists and communists and probably inhaled Saul Alinsky's 'Rules For Radicals.' Oh and there's the evidence that he and his wife are not great fans of the United States, except as providers of expensive vacations.

Does that sound harsh? I gathered that impression by her own words-"For the first time in my adult lifetime I am proud of my country?" Considering the fact that both of the Obamas have had a pretty successful life above and beyond the average taxpayer of any color, I found that remark to be self-serving and insulting. This Hispanic has always been proud and grateful to have been born in the greatest country in the world even though I will never be a tenth as wealthy as these two ungrateful residents in the White House.

How has this country morphed from post racial to a hotbed of racism and hate? It's been ordained since Obama was foolishly anointed the harbinger of change. He sure did change us but not for the better and do you know who's fared the worst? Blacks. Many Whites who had actually had positive or at least neutral relationships with persons of color now find these attitudes undergoing a more apprehensive connection since Barrack Hussein Obama came to power.

In 1954, I traveled as a young child to a segregated South Carolina to visit my black brother-law's family. My sister and I could ride in the front of the bus but her mother-in-law could not. I went to a movie theater with a neighborhood girl I'd met but she could only go to the balcony while I stayed downstairs. I was very young but I thought this was insane as I was born in New York City and situations like this were unheard of in my hometown.

As a young woman I met and married a man from Miami and learned from my visit there that the 'n' word was routinely used by whites to describe any black person. Thankfully my husband was one of the enlightened and even though it was probably difficult for his racist relatives to accept me, they did and most of the Southerners, not all but most, over the years changed their hearts and minds.

When I first moved to Staten Island 37 years ago, it was considered the whitest NYC borough and still is but the numbers have changed considerably. I was walking then with my sister's foster son, a very dark Puerto Rican, and some kids drove by and shouted 'N****r" at him. He was hurt and I was shocked.

Things changed and several years later, my newspaper was delivered by a black man and his white wife. Interracial couples are everywhere and there were very few racial incidents until Obama was elected. Why?

Why did the Klan get away with the lynchings, persecutions, injustices perpetrated on the Southern black community? Besides the Jim Crow laws, it had the police and justice department in its back pocket. Bull Connor was the Democrat National Committeeman for Alabama who became the symbol of racism after he directed the fire hoses and attack dogs against civil rights activists. Press cameras caught these attacks that included children as victims and the entire nation was outraged. Many of the Southerners, not all but many, had their eyes opened. Change was slow but it did happen. Over thirty years later, America elected a black man as its president and the country took a giant step backwards in race relations and this was not an accident.

Once Barack Hussein Obama was in office, he made sure that the Justice Department would be there to back his agenda. This was clear when it failed to indict any criminal activity that jeopardized his administration. In 2008, members of the New Black Panthers Party stood outside the polls in Philadelphia allegedly intimidating the white voters from entering. One carried a police-style nightstick baton and was caught on tape which went viral over the Internet. Although the DOJ sought injunctions against the group, the superiors ended up dropping the charges. J. Christian Adams, a former lawyer for the Justice Department, testified before the Commission on Civil Rights and alleged that the case was dropped because "We abetted wrongdoing and abandoned law-abiding citizens." Other members of the Justice department testified before Congress that the enforcement of federal voting laws was not being treated equally. Of course not.

Eric Holder served as Attorney General from 2009-2015 and covered up every misstep this administration made. No indictments from his DOJ in the IRS scandals or the Fast and Furious Guns to Cartels and when the Knockout Game was revealed in videos, the only one arrested was a white man even though most perpetrators caught on camera attacking white victims were black. Is it any wonder that the Black Lives Matter grew into a movement even though it was based on media lies. The activists know that the Justice Department is behind them and the race demagogues are getting rich over the boiling resentments manufactured by Marxist ideologues in the academic community.

Last August, Members of the #FYF911 or #FukYoFlag and #BlackLivesMatter movements called for the lynching and hanging of white people and cops. They encouraged others on a radio show Tuesday night to "turn the tide" and kill white people and cops to send a message about the killing of black people in America.

In a sane world, language like this would be roundly condemned but not in Obama's administration. Their hate speech will be protected and every black in the country will now unfairly be identified with these activists. Those disappearing white supremacists will point to these groups to recruit those who fear an uprising. The KKK was founded by Democrats during Reconstruction after the Civil War as a secret vigilante group. It targeted freed blacks and their allies; it sought to restore white supremacy by threats and violence, including murder, against black and white Republicans. It was also a movement based on lies. So is the BlackLivesMatter movement created by media malfeasance and deceit and the ones who will pay the price are the blacks in the communities who will lose the protection that police provide and the economic development that comes with safe neighborhoods.

Sadly, the black community voted for Obama and consequently the return of racism and violence. Hopefully, next time they will heed the words of MLK and be color blind and vote for a candidate's content of character.
