Jimmy Caan was WAY ahead of his time. He was in Misery thirty-two years before the rest of us.

• The Wall Street Journal asserted Thursday that Dr. Fauci botched the Covid epidemic by betting too heavily on vaccines instead of his NIH protecting the vulnerable. The World Health Organization is now warning that Monkey Pox cases are on the rise. Dr. Fauci is telling everyone to wear a Gorilla mask.

• Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Mark Warner of Virginia are introducing a bi-partisan bill to investigate foreign espionage infiltrating social media. In the English play Peter Pan, I remember Captain Hook was deathly fearful of an alligator that went Tick-Tock. Now we have the Chinese version.

• The Automobile Club released new statistics Thursday giving the White House the bad news that gasoline prices at the pump have now doubled since Joe Biden was sworn in as the President of the United States. On hearing the news Biden ordered his staff to do better. So expect gas prices to quadruple.

• Fox News played an audiotape of Joe Biden assuring Hunter he was in the clear on business deals after claiming he knew nothing of Hunter's business deals. They'll never get him. Republicans can't say every day that Biden doesn't know anything and then call him a liar when he says he knows nothing.

• Forbes reported that Vladimir Putin's government was offering to trade pot possession prisoner and WNBA star Brittney Griner to the U.S. for famed illegal arms Merchant of Death, Viktor Bout. She'd be safe from any reprisals in the U.S. The WNBA is the best witness protection program in the world.

• Russia engaged in furious saber-rattling with Turkey for Turkey allowing Finland to join NATO. It wouldn't take long for Russian forces to swoop southeastward from Ukraine and attack Turkey's exposed northeastern frontier. The question is, if Russia attacks Turkey from the rear, will Greece help?

• The New York Daily News reported a huge number of shark sightings off Long Island over the 4th of July. The Sydney Herald reported a British man was killed by a shark Friday while he was on his honeymoon in Australia. News reports say he didn't suffer long, as he'd only been married for five days.

• High Times warned of the extreme potency of new strains of marijuana cross-pollinated for high THC content. In a related story, last week marijuana was found growing at Forest Lawn Cemetery in L.A. This is what happens when you die and they bury you without checking to see what in your pockets.

• The Cleveland Browns traded star quarterback Baker Mayfield to Carolina. The hapless Browns chose to sign DeShaun Watson, who faces 26 lawsuits for sexual assault and an NFL suspension. Joe Biden arrived in Cleveland Wednesday and didn't get the joke when the locals gave him a Browns jersey.

• The New York Post said the best-selling author of How to Murder Your Husband was sentenced to prison for life last week for murdering her husband. It seems a bit harsh after she gave everybody a heads-up. This was like arresting Jeffrey Dahmer for writing a cookbook called You Are Who You Eat.

• The House January 6th Committee solicited testimony searching for evidence to nail Trump with a criminal referral. The day after Trump's funeral and burial, I can just see Democrats on the House Oversight Committee issuing an exhumation order to see how much more dirt they can dig up on Trump.
