The San Diego Union reported that Americans this year spent over two billion dollars buying five hundred thousand pounds of gunpowder to set off on Independence Day. That's quite a stirring statistic. Nothing makes July 4th more Independent than shooting off fireworks that were made in China.

• The Weather Channel reports a blistering heat wave over the western United States accompanied by triple digit temperatures in Arizona and Southern California. The desert heat did not make for an easy twelve-mile run after my show last night. I was sweating like a socialist spending his own money.

• The Hollywood Reporter gave rave reviews to the new movie Elvis starring Austin Butler as the King of Rock and Roll and Tom Hanks as his manager Colonel Tom Parker. I saw it and during the performance scenes onstage the crotch shots are very close up. I never realized that Elvis was Jewish.

• Golf Week reported the new LIV golf Tour financed by the Saudi government is catching on with golf fans at tournaments which include jugglers and unicyclists on the course. The pros play by Saudi golf rules. On Sunday a player accidentally signed the wrong scorecard, and they cut off his hand.

• Uganda's ruler just announced a huge gold ore strike and is looking for investors to dig up the ore and refine it. It sounds like everyone's favorite email. And that reminds me that Hillary Clinton was the only person who actually collected the four hundred thousand dollars from the Nigerian Prince.

• President Biden returned from a week of G-7 and NATO meetings in Europe to the White House Friday where he blasted the Supreme Court for returning abortion rights to the states. In the wake of that ruling, Cialis just created a morning-after pill for men. It erases your name and your phone number.

• Wall Street Report panelists said the January 6th Committee hearings may have damaged Donald Trump politically but so far not near enough to send to the Justice Department a criminal referral on him. Don't bet on it. House Democrat Adam Schiff has information so valuable he hasn't made it up yet.

• House Chairman of the January 6th Committee Bennie Thompson announced the hearings have been extended into July. It's Washington's favorite TV show. In the next episode of Get Trump, the Committee will subpoena Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles to testify what they saw Trump do in the SUV.
