And now for the
important news ....

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | Bill Clinton was given a spectacular and celebrity-studded book party Monday night at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event belonged inside an art museum. Even his severest critics acknowledge that Bill Clinton is a piece of work.

Martha Stewart was in New York Monday to address a shareholders meeting for Martha Stewart Living. She was escorted by heavy security. Worth over a billion dollars and possibly going to prison, she's been receiving marriage threats from John Kerry.

John Kerry campaigned in Denver Monday and asked Rolling Stone's Hunter Thompson to ride in his motorcade. He was the older guy in the Seventies who led baby boomers into a lost decade of hard drugs and boozy adventure. Every generation has its Eisenhower.

California filed a nine-billion-dollar suit against Enron Friday. The energy company triggered massive power outages in Los Angeles. Electricity was in such short supply on the Sunset Strip that Kato Kaelin got six months' work as a dim bulb.

Fidel Castro gave an address at Havana Stadium Monday and warned the United States not to invade Cuba. He's just angry because he's sending such a weak Olympic team to Athens. Every Cuban who can run, jump or swim is already in Florida by now.
