The Very Presidential Donald Trump; What A Surprise!

When Donald Trump first announced his candidacy for president, I, like many conservatives, thought he was joking. He certainly was not my first choice and I did not plan to vote for him in the GOP primary.

But by the time the primary came to New York, I gladly voted for the man many friends called loathsome.

I have to thank my brother, a former marine fighting a losing battle with terminal cancer, and my husband, another former marine, for opening my eyes to the absurd possibility that Trump was what this country needed.

They had listened to his speeches at crowded rallies and told me he was saying exactly what needed to be said and I had to agree he was right.

Trump was the first Republican to do what I had been exhorting the GOP to do in many of my columns --- help the inner cities to break the stranglehold the Dems have on minorities.

After Trump succeeded in becoming the GOP nominee, the mainstream media and the Clinton campaign went on full offense depicting us as "deplorable" and just plain morons.

My Democrat relatives were in complete agreement as were the NeverTrumpers in the GOP who ranted about the arrogant New York native as not being presidential material.

They dragged out every single negative Trump news item and when that didn't dissuade us; they simply made up fake ones. They had no idea whom they were dealing with.

The silliest attempt to derail Trump came with the ludicrous Russian hooker, urine soaking fable. The conspirators obviously didn't know that Trump is a germiphobe, a non drinker and way too smart to find himself in such a compromising setup.

The truth is that on a superficial level, Donald Trump may be arrogant, boastful, a tad narcissistic and he tends to fly off the handle with maddening tweets.

But what I have come to believe since his election is that he is a brilliant strategist who loves this country.

The team he has surrounded himself with in the White House is impeccable and just as much involved with restoring our greatness as the president is.

There are no Marxist czars or Alinsky disciples on Trump's team. It is probably the wealthiest ever confirmed in any administration but recent reports confirmed that all are taking huge economic losses to help make this country great again. They are all grownups, not GOP donors ready to drink at the trough of taxpayer funds as we've endured in the last eight years.

Considering the fact that everyone, including bipartisan pundits and politicians, has thrown everything against Trump, he has managed to conduct himself with admirable presidential presence. Even those tweets that generate such a hubbub in the media are actually crafted deliberately to create truths that need to be exposed.

Trump tweets that Sweden has a very serious illegal immigrant problem. This was denied by the MSM and a Swedish official at the same time videos of riots there exploded on the Internet.

Trump tweets that Obama wiretapped the Trump Tower during the campaign and now we learn that NSA deputy Susan Rice was behind the "unmasking" of the private individuals on the Trump campaign whose communications were "incidentally collected" by Intel agencies.

Gee is that how Gen. Flynn was torpedoed by the media? How does one surveil without wiretapping or bugging yet we are supposed to believe that the FBI and other agencies did not target Trump staff?

The MSM continues to call the non-passage of Ryancare as a Trump failure yet I consider it a bullet that was dodged as the Democrats are now stuck with Obamacare, the worst bill ever passed.

Another plus for Trump is RINO Paul Ryan has lost considerable influence and hopefully may be replaced as Speaker with someone more closely tied to the Trump agenda. I know- how about Rep. Devin Nunes?

Those who feared that the Trump administration would be as tacky as a reality TV show are probably surprised that this administration is focused on substantial issues and humming along dismantling the sorry job-killing policies of the Obama administration.

President Trump is a workaholic billionaire meeting daily with world leaders and accomplishing in the last three months more than Obama did in the past eight years. He is also trying his best in spite of his own party's lack of support to fulfill the promises he made to his supporters during the campaign.

Those naysayers who were appalled at the idea of a First Lady who may or may not have posed nude while a model have tried to find fault with every remark or event she's appeared in. The hypocrisy of these left-wingers whose political posers communicate mainly in four letter words and bare breasts is overwhelming. Melania Trump has thus far proved not only to be the most beautiful FLOTUS; she has also shown great grace and composure in spite of the assaults. I wish her well.

The ignorance of the left wing anti-Trumpers is borderline hilarious. A recent headline reports that these liberal fascists are going to show the film "1984" in theaters across the country to protest President Trump's brand new administration.

Dylan Skolnick, one of the event's creators, is the co-director of the Cinema Arts Centre on Long Island and is also a functional illiterate who has no idea what George Orwell's masterpiece is all about.

1984 is a dystopian classic which brought terms like Big Brother, doublethink, newspeak, thought crime, into our culture.

Nineteen Eighty-Four popularized the adjective Orwellian, which describes official deception, secret surveillance, and manipulation of recorded history by a totalitarian or authoritarian state.

With all the recent blockbusters confirming that it was the Obama administration, ordering Intel data on private citizens connected with the Trump campaign, surely that novel and film describes the previous not the current three month old administration. Hey, Dylan-how about showing Animal Farm?

Although the lapdogs in the media and the RINOs in Congress continue to rant about Trumps' tweets, I applaud them because he continues to ask the questions that need to be answered.

On various tweets, he asked "Was the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russia lifted? Did Hillary know? Why doesn't Fake News talk about Podesta ties to Russia as covered by @FoxNews or money from Russia to Clinton - sale of Uranium?"

Which all brings up this question-If Intel agencies were seeking Russian connection data on trump campaign did they bother to seek same data on Clinton campaign? If not, why not?

My president is Donald Trump who is at the moment working on solving problems that will benefit even those who refuse to accept him as president. I am quite pleased. MAGA is working. .
