http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | Mardi Gras happens tonight in New Orleans with parades throughout the French Quarter. It's bohemian, to say the least. The annual parade is presided over by the King and Queen of Mardi Gras and, more often than not, they are the same person.


The Mars Rover began rolling across the Red Planet last week after a delay due to computer malfunctions. It's not just about geology. The Rover's cameras are a helpful tool for government planners now that the budget deficit is visible from Mars.


John Kerry wrote a letter to President Bush Sunday challenging him to debate their respective Vietnam-era service. He accused the president of using surrogates to attack his patriotism, his war service, and his voting record on defense. The nicest thing in the letter was the anthrax in the envelope.


John Kerry accused President Bush of re-opening the wounds of the Vietnam war for political gain. The senator was wounded three times in Vietnam. Mel Gibson called to say if the wounds re-open, he'll be right over with a camera and a make-up man.
