Yet another reason why we shouldn't trust the Saudis
http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com |
It appears the Saudis have been
caught red-handed again. No, this time it's not
direct support for terror groups or some absurd
statement from the Saudi leader that the 9/11
hijackers are really a group of Jews. No, this
time it's anti-Israel ads that ran here in the U.S.
Now, the Saudis have every right to criticize Israel if
they so choose in ads, just public statements, whatever. But
in typical Saudi fashion they didn't admit they were
sponsoring the ads. "TIME" Magazine reports the Saudi
government paid a P.R. firm to hide their involvement.
Officially the ads were sponsored by something called
"The Alliance for Peace and Justice." In reality, "TIME"
reports it was just a cover for the Saudi government, once
again proving that we simply cannot trust them as true
partners in the war on terror, less because of what they said
-and more because too often it seems, they just aren't
telling the truth.
