Bad news is good news in War on Terror?

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | While the rest of the world marvels at the surprisingly peaceful and orderly elections in Afghanistan, a leading Democrat claims this inspiring exercise in democracy is only a sham.

Speaking to a group of Kerry supporters in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, Theresa Heinz Kerry baldly declared: "The Taliban is back running Afghanistan." Her comments not only reflect appalling ignorance, but demonstrate the way that Democrats actively desire bad news on the war on terror.

The same day Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Alawi reported to Congress about progress in his country, Senator Kerry disputed his claims and his press spokesman insulted this brave ally as "a puppet."

Kerry's sister traveled to Australia and attacked another US ally, Prime Minister John Howard — though Australians re-elected him in a landslide, maintaining their nation's commitment to the US coalition against Islamic terror.

Shamefully, the desperate Democrats care more about politics than ongoing efforts to defeat the nation's deadly enemies.
