Jewish World Review December 16, 2014 The News in Zingers By Argus Hamilton

• Discovery Channel was ripped by TV viewers over its special Eaten Alive after the daredevil who volunteered to be swallowed whole by an Amazon anaconda was only partially swallowed. Viewers are just livid. This illustrates two things Americans won't tolerate, false advertising and portion control.
• Senator Harry Reid said Friday that Democrats never recovered from the Obamacare rollout. Senate Democrats Tom Harkin and Chuck Schumer also blasted Obamacare. The most successful operation made possible by Obamacare so far is the one where you have your committee chairmanship removed.
• Sony Studios chair Amy Pascal apologized for e-mailing a producer that she assumed President Obama's favorite movies last year were Django Unchained and Twelve Years a Slave. No offense was likely taken. After what Republicans did to him in the elections last month and what the Democrats did to his budget last week, President Obama is thrilled to see someone's still afraid of offending him.
• The Department of Health and Human Services reported Medicare last year overpaid sixty-four million dollars for erection pumps that the government provides for senior male Medicare recipients. The White House pointed out that this was not a feature of Obamacare. It's Clintoncare if it's anything.
• Senator Elizabeth Warren emerged as a leftist hero Friday when she ripped the White House for rolling back Wall Street reform in the budget bill. She's one to watch. Her claim of Native American blood is highly disputed, but she might run for president under her Indian name, Dances with Marxism.
• Modern Health published an obesity study Friday warning that fifty percent of Americans will be obese in twenty years if Americans don't change their eating habits. Half that number will be morbidly obese. The good news is, we'll be a lot easier to spot by satellite if we get lost in the woods.
• Pay Attention is a no-texting-while-driving group which collected four million signatures from young people who vowed never to text and drive. There's great resistance in Los Angeles. Someone here made a fortune designing an app which sends you a text message every time the light turns green.
