• Thanksgiving Day witnessed sixty million Americans driving or flying cross-country to eat turkey together. It's a day of gratitude. In California, it's an old Thanksgiving tradition that family members sit at the table, bow their heads, stare at their iPhones and call each other to pass the sweet potatoes.
• Ferguson demonstrators rioted a second night Tuesday with TV cameras airing all the mayhem over the Missouri grand jury's verdict which sided in favor of the Ferguson cop. The rioters smashed the window of a Pay-Less shoe store and looted the place. They took everything except the work boots.
• New York protestors blocked the Holland Tunnel and L.A. protestors blocked the Hollywood Freeway on Tuesday over the Ferguson grand jury verdict. The exasperation is palpable. It's getting to the point in this country where you can't even tell a policeman to screw off and try to take his gun and not get shot.
• The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Thailand's military court sentenced a Thailand website editor to five years in jail for writing an article that defamed the king. The U.S. ambassador relayed the news to Washington. President Obama is checking closely to see if this law applies to emperors, too.
• President Obama declared that Americans don't have any right to oppose immigration Tuesday in a speech he made in Chicago. It's a stunning example of the change he's engineered. Just six years ago Barack Obama was the President of the United States, and here he is today, the King of New Spain.
• President Obama said Tuesday he understood the frustration of the Ferguson rioters. This could fix another problem. The big reason so many immigrants come here from Latin America is that the U.S. is such a desirable place to live, and President Obama is working as hard as he can to turn that around.
• Wall Street celebrated a new high Wednesday as the Dow Jones averages neared the eighteen thousand mark. The stock market has doubled in six years and banks are booming. Billionaires are doing so well with a socialist in the White House, they're starting to wonder what a communist could do.
• U.S. Navy SEALs rescued six Yemenis, a Saudi and an Ethiopian Thursday held by al-Qaeda inside a remote cave in Yemen for two months. The freed hostages are in re-orientation. They have been off their iPhones for two months and it's going to take them some time to regain the use of their thumbs.
