• President Obama was slammed in the Chinese press in Beijing Thursday for chewing gum when he stepped off Air Force One in China and the newspapers said Obama looked like a rapper. It so happens that the president is very popular with the hip-hop community. His rap name is TuSlac Border.
• President Obama faces a showdown with the GOP Congress this week over his plans to issue an executive order legalizing five million illegal immigrants. Compromise is possible. Republicans are willing to allow ilegal immigrants in the country but only if they come in through the Keystone Pipeline.
• Senate Majorty Leader-designate Mitch McConnell said Friday he will not permit a government shutdown in December over immigration. It's risky. In the past one hundred years, there have been sixteen government shutdowns, the longest one being the four years that Jimmy Carter was president.
• The Ku Klux Klan in the Pacific Northwest changed its name to the Rocky Mountain Knights and invited blacks, Jews, gays and Hispanics to join a Klan that just stands for a strong USA. It's a miracle. Pot's only been legal in the Northwest a year and already we have a Klan that looks more like America.
• Napoleon Bonaparte's famous bicorn hat was put up for auction by Monaco's ruling family this week. France never recovered from the Emperor's exile. Last July, Disneyland Paris celebrated Bastille Day witha tremendous fireworks show and fifteen minutes later the government of France surrendered.
