• Senator Dianne Feinstein couldn't answer exactly how Professor Ford's letter to her accusing Kavanaugh got leaked to the press or say what she planned to do with the letter had it NOT been leaked. We shouldn't be disrespectful to the senator. After all, she just went in for her annual autopsy.
•Abe Lincoln items sold at auction in New York for three hundred grand Thursday. He wasn't the man of the people his acolytes claimed him to be. If Lincoln were truly a man of the people, he'd have sat downstairs in the theater with the audience and enjoyed the play all the way to the end.
•California counties outside of San Francisco and Los Angeles Monday defied the legislature's self- proclaimed statewide sanctuary status for illegal immigrants. A middle school in Oceanside actually introduced a deportation-themed board game for children. It's called Tunnels and Ladders.
•Led Zeppelin was ordered to a retrial in the copyright infringement suit against the rock group over their 1970 hit song Stairway to Heaven. It was not an optimistic era. The fact that there's a Highway to Hell and only a Stairway to Heaven gives you an idea of the anticipated traffic flow.
