Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a box office hit Friday. It's centered around the Manson Family and set in 1969. Today's audience sees it as a simpler time when a home invasion killing spree could capture the nation's attention and no one blamed the NRA or O.J.
• Tory Party peacock Boris Johnson, with his wild blonde hair, his bombastic personality and his nationalistic views took over as Prime Minister. It's causing House Democrats in America to experience suicidal thoughts. Not only is Trump NOT getting impeached, he's multiplying.
• Maricopa County Sheriffs conducted an anti-drug demonstration at a high school assembly in Phoenix last week, complete with drug samples for recognition, and accidentally left the heroin behind. That's the bad news. The good news is, several of the students just earned music scholarships.
• American Airlines is considering banning comfort dogs after a comfort dog bit an A.A. flight attendant recently during a Dallas flight. Delta Airlines has already banned them. However, Korean Airlines announced you may have a dog, along with your choice of steamed rice or vegetables.
• Swedish prosecutors in Stockholm ignored pleas from Trump and charged the American rap star ASAP Rock with assault. There'd been a two-week delay. They would have charged the rap star sooner, but you've got to figure it was hard for them to put a line-up together in Sweden.
• Congress adjourned and Members left Washington to go on their annual six-week August recess and Capitol Hill will be deserted until Labor Day. It's sad. C-SPAN aired a live shot of the empty House Committee Chamber last night, and Robert Mueller was STILL sitting there.
• Robert Mueller's testimony failed to connect Trump to Russia during the 2016 campaign. It has tested the Democrats unshakeable faith in collusion. Throughout 2016, Democrats said Trump doesn't know anything, and when he finally says that he didn't know anything, they don't believe him.
• Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar went on TV and urged viewers not to trust white men. She's accused of marrying her brother for citizenship, and voters in her home district are mortified. Cousins who marry each other in West Virginia now look down on Minnesotans as trash.
• Ilhan Omar took a plane home, was driven by car to an air-conditioned studio, went on TV and told the country not to trust white men, forgetting that without white men, the plane, the car, the air conditioning, the TV and the country would never have been invented. What you'd have is Somalia.
