The World Cup in Germany featured a heavily watched game
Sunday where Mexico upset Iran in Nuremberg. The match-up didn't
look fair on paper. Every Mexican who can run for ninety minutes
without stopping already plays for the United States.
Tropical Storm Alberto approached Florida's western coast
Sunday to mark the start of hurricane season. This time it's going
to be different. FEMA officials flew to Tallahassee Sunday to warn
everybody that an earthquake could hit Indonesia.
Time magazine reported Sunday that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi
eluded capture because he was a master of disguise. They said
sometimes he dressed as a woman, and sometimes as a policeman or a
construction worker. Oh my G-d, we've killed the Village People.
Al Gore went on the talk shows on Sunday to promote his
film, An Inconvenient Truth. The former vice president looked sad.
Al Gore can't look at all the chaos and destruction around the
world without thinking that all this could have been his. President Bush announced in Laredo last week he will ask governors to deploy six thousand National Guard troops to patrol the border with Mexico. What's that going to do? It takes more troops to ensure a clean half-time show at the Super Bowl. Every weekday JewishWorldReview.com publishes what many in in the media and Washington consider "must-reading".
