Saddam Hussein sued the London Sun and New York Post over
photographs of him in his underwear in jail. They show him in
spartan living conditions. His cell doesn't even have a dresser so
he is forced to keep his socks in his underwear.
George Lucas admitted on Tuesday he based the villain Darth
Vader on Richard Nixon. It was a very risky thing to say. When
Hollywood finds out that he's old enough to remember the Nixon
Administration, he might never work in this town again.
Laura Bush was heckled and jeered in Israel on Sunday by
angry crowds during her appearance at Arab and Jewish shrines. Her
unhappiness was plainly visible. She just has to learn as a
beginning comedian that it's not always going to be great.
Howard Dean told Meet the Press Sunday Tom DeLay ought to be
in jail and not in Congress. Many Democrats are unhappy with
Howard Dean's rhetoric. If he does not shut up, Tom DeLay is going
to get convicted and Democrats are going to lose him.
Wall Street nervously awaits a report from the Commerce
Department Wednesday that indicates which way the economy is
going. The insiders aren't waiting. Alan Greenspan walked out of
McDonald's Sunday with a dozen ketchup packets in his pocket.
Kenny Perry lapped the field in the Colonial Open Sunday,
winning the tourney by nine strokes. He has one of the most
beautiful swings on tour. The golf swing is the most stressful and
unnatural act in sports short of cheering for the Yankees.
