Nebraska former head coach Tom Osborne hinted Friday he may
run for governor of Nebraska. This is the only state where that's
a step down. People in Nebraska are fairly confident he will win
as long as he is not running against Barry Switzer.
West Texas towns considered offers Monday to store
radioactive waste for big money. It's obvious why. Now that
there's steroid testing for Texas high school football players,
schools have to grow the linemen big like they did in the Fifties.
Saddam Hussein's lawyer said Monday the U.S. must protect
Saddam's life because there's an assassination plot brewing
against him. Must be the Iraqis. The CIA chief weapons inspector's
report just came in and we've got no reason to dislike him.
Bill Clinton rolls into the quiet Amish town of Lancaster,
Pennsylvania, this week, forcing the locals to endure metal
detectors and parking restrictions and police frisks. Sharon Stone
once asked Bill Clinton out. He was in her apartment at the time.
New Mexico police surrounded a middle school in Clovis
Friday when a student walked in with what they thought was a
weapon. The kid was all over the national news when it turned out
that he had a thirty-inch burrito. The next day the eighth grader
got a call from Mary Kay LeTourneau asking him if he had any plans
for Saturday night.
