Jewish World Review April 28, 2015 The News in Zingers By Argus Hamilton

• The South China Post reported Thursday that Chinese scientists in Beijing were able to edit and modify the DNA of a human embryo for the first time, sparking concerns by human rights activists that this is sure to lead to designer children. You can't make it up. Now even people are made in China.
• CBS News says the alarm system at former President George H.W. Bush's home in Houston was broken for a year before the Secret Service fixed it. These emergencies require experienced hands. The work would have been done in one day if only the Bushes had made a donation to Bill and Hillary.
• Hillary Clinton was accused doling out Haitian relief contracts and U.S. mineral rights to donors to the Clinton Foundation when Secretary of State. Comedians are concerned. The scandal threatens to destroy, once and for all, Bill and Hillary's dream of being America's first two-impeachment family.
• Barry Bonds' conviction for lying about steroids use in his federal trial was overturned by the U.S. Court of Appeals last week. He wields a huge influence to this day. Just last year a record number young players tested positive for taking steroids in the minor leagues, but obviously not enough steroids.
• The American Journal of Public Health released a disturbing new nationwide survey showing that Wisconsin leads the nation in binge drinking. The survey says binge drinking is way up across the nation. Wisconsin didn't realize it had a problem until it woke up Sunday in bed with West Virginia.
• The U.S. Geological Survey warned in USA Today that Oklahoma, Arkansas Alabama and Texas are producing man-made earthqualkes due to oil fracking. However, polls show that people aren't scared. For two-dollar-a-gallon gas Americans don't mind shaking for five seconds every now and then.
• Ringo Starr was inducted into the Rock' n Roll Hall of Fame and congratulated by fellow Beatle Paul McCartney onstage Saturday. What changes they've seen. Back in the Sixties, people took LSD to make the world look weird, and today the world is weird and people take Paxil to make it look normal.
