Yankee Stadium, it was reported on Sunday, will be rebuilt
next to its present location in the Bronx. Archaeologists will
evaluate the site before construction begins. The last thing the
city wants to do is to disturb a Teamsters burial ground.
The Rolling Stones announced Friday they will play in Boston
this fall. They haven't lost their taste for illegal drugs. Female
groupies won't be allowed in the backstage dressing room unless
they bring some Vioxx for old Jumping Jack Flash.
Newt Gingrich hinted Friday he may run for president. He
left the speakership and his second wife to marry his
congressional intern. The Republicans are sending a message that
they refuse to concede the adultery vote to the Clintons.
President Bush called on Congress to provide tax credits for
wind power and solar power Saturday. He's fighting higher energy
costs. Gasoline is so expensive in Los Angeles that the only
reason people are running for mayor is for the company car.
The Norwegian Dawn cruise ship was hit by a seventy-foot-
high wave Sunday in the Atlantic. Sixty-two cabins were flooded.
It was so scary that three gigolos got off the ship when it docked
and announced they were getting out of the business.
