Mexican fans burned the U.S. flag and booed the U.S. anthem
and chanted Osama at the U.S.-Mexico soccer match. Many Americans
are so mad they may do their own yard work this summer. Once again
Martha Stewart is in the right place at the right time.
Hillary Clinton will headline the Hubert Humphrey Dinner in
Minneapolis next weekend. She's leading in some polls to win the
presidency in three years. Most Americans are willing to do
whatever it takes to get the White House furniture back.
Doonesbury angered conservatives on Monday by delving into
the psychological problems of returning Iraq war veterans.
Republican and Democratic officials had no comment. They don't
read the cartoons in Washington, they just work for them.
North Korea and Iran played each other in soccer Wednesday.
If their diplomats can stall for time, their regimes will be safe
from the White House. One month from now the wall in the Map Room
will be covered by the American League standings.
Laura Bush visited women in Afghanistan Wednesday during a
brief visit. She also met with Afghan president Hamid Karzai and
dined with U.S. troops. She made history by becoming the first
Kappa Alpha Theta ever to set foot in heroin country.
