Feminist gadfly Martha Burke said Saturday she won't protest
Augusta's membership policy this year. Her new crusade is to
increase the number of women's restrooms at sports stadiums. Too
much beer and not enough bathrooms is how the Irish jig was invented.
The EPA issued a decree Thursday limiting emissions from
coal burning power plants nationwide. It was an emergency measure.
When Michael Jackson came to court in his pajamas that day
everyone feared there was a hole in the Bozone Layer.
President Bush in Louisiana Friday challenged Democrats to
adopt a position on Social Security reform and stand by that
position. He'll be sorry. Generally speaking, a Democrat's
favorite position is husband on top and the wife out of town.
Ukraine's president Viktor Yushchenko will be honored at a
White House dinner next month. He's still recuperating from
getting poisoned during his campaign. This is the worst possible
time for Laura Bush to be auditioning new Tex-Mex chefs.
Quebec's premier Jean Charest announced Friday he wants to
meet with Hillary Clinton when he visits Washington in April. He's
coming to town to discuss trade issues. He's willing to trade the
Canadian health care system for one night with her.
Mexico announced Monday they have the Texas flag captured by
Mexican troops at the Battle of the Alamo on display in a Mexico
City museum. They seem to have been the first to catch on. While
President Bush is out of troops, Southerners have three weeks to
decide if they want to send their taxes to Washington or to Richmond.
