John Edwards improved his chance to be running mate with an
eloquent concession speech Wednesday. He's a top personal injury
attorney. With John Edwards on the ticket, Republicans will think
twice about running over the Democrats like a train.
Portland issued same-sex marriage licenses Wednesday and
lines of gay couples circled the block outside city hall. The
Democrats are cornered by the issue. John Kerry insisted that he
will stand by his principles, so it could go either way.
President Bush went to Arnold Schwarzenegger's home in Brentwood Wednesday. No one paid any attention. When the president's sirens roared by Rockingham Drive, the neighbors just assumed that the O.J. re-enactors were holding their annual pageant.
