Jewish World Review Feb. 16, 2021 Rogue Report By Argus Hamilton

Staples reports an increase in the sale of 2021 Planners due to an anticipated return to normal life soon. It's good that we're checking the calendar again. Sunday was Valentine's Day when it was okay to tell someone I love only you, because Monday was President's Day and you could walk it back.
• The Rolling Stones website announced on Saturday they will tour North America this summer and began selling tickets to the band's No Filter Tour, that is, if they're all still alive. Yesterday, I saw a beautiful photo of a younger Keith Richards holding a baby girl in his arms. It was Betty White.
• The Kansas City Chiefs griped about the referee calls in the Super Bowl, adding it was typical of home field officiating. It was played on Tampa's home turf. The NFL may vote to start holding all Super Bowls in the Dallas Cowboys' stadium so that no team ever has home field advantage again.
•The Senate ended debate in the impeachment trial Saturday and then, voting as a jury, reached a verdict that set a new all-time record. Donald Trump is now the most-acquitted president in U.S. history. He just broke the previous record set by Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and O.J. Simpson.
• The Senate set a dangerous precedent by trying an ex-president. Now they can try Obama for running guns to Mexico, George W for lying about WMDs, Reagan for Iran-Contra, Ford for assault with a tee shot and eight others for owning slaves. Hey, we'll get to the Covid Relief Bill when we get to it. • CBS's Face the Nation interviewed outraged Democratic lawmakers Sunday still fuming over the fact that Donald Trump escaped conviction on Saturday. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was overjoyed when she first heard the Senate's verdict on Trump. She thought that he quitted. • Donald Trump's attorneys presented his defense in his Senate impeachment trial Friday. I've never witnessed such blood-letting on the Senate floor. Democrats weren't just trying to prevent Trump from running for public office again, they want to sentence him to a New York nursing home. • The U.S. Senate trial of Donald Trump mercifully came to an end with his acquittal Saturday after angry, violent debate. At any moment I expected the brawling Senators to crash into the next movie set and interrupt Dom DeLuise while he was trying to direct the French Mistake number. • Nancy Pelosi commented after the verdict Saturday and spent ten minutes denouncing GOP Senators for refusing to vote to convict Donald Trump. She's not done. Nancy just sponsored a bill designating the third Monday in February a federal holiday called Presidents Other Than Trump Day.
