• The White House was accused of being disconnected from reality Monday when they said Obamacare will liberate people from having to work to get health care. They said that the free time will allow people to get together with their families. On paper, that's a wonderful idea.
• Michigan cops arrested a woman for shooting at a McDonald's drive-through worker who forgot the bacon on her order. Reaction was predictable. Democrats called for stricter gun laws while Republicans pointed out that in the shooter's defense, the worker did forget her bacon.
• President Obama signed an order Thursday raising the U.S. minimum wage three dollars an hour for laborers working on federal projects. This puts out a labor fire before it gets bad. Few people know that the Battle of the Alamo was a dispute between dry wall contractors.
• The Washington Post ripped President Obama Friday for making laws by executive orders without Congress. It's perfectly legal. Law professors say his executive orders are unconstitutional but it's not true, he just issued an executive order making them constitutional.
• Senate Democrats up for re-election this fall asked President Obama to stay away and not to campaign for them. Everything is spinnable. The White House won't say that President Obama's popularity is plummeting, they prefer to say he just won the gold in the Men's Downhill.
• Washington D.C. was buried by a foot of snow Thursday which shut down U.S. government offices and both houses of Congress. The reaction was swift. Responding to orders from the White House, the National Weather Service blamed the shutdown on Speaker John Boehner.
• Michelle Obama wore a twelve thousand dollar Caroline Herrera gown to a White House dinner for France's president. They dined on caviar, quail eggs and prime aged rib-eye. All night the French delegation eyed everyone suspiciously like they knew the British got Porterhouse.
• Afghanistan's president Hamid Karzai infuriated Americans Tuesday by announcing he's releasing sixty-five captured Taliban terrorists from Afghanistan's prisons whether the U.S. government likes it or not. What do Afghanistan and Hiroshima have in common? Nothing, yet.
