The NFL was reported Monday to be considering a team in Los
Angeles. There's no local support. Los Angeles would be forced to
join the rotation of Super Bowl sites and who wants to give up the
Lingerie Bowl in the middle of the rainy season?
Condoleezza Rice invited Israel's Ariel Sharon and
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to the White House on Monday. Her
tone was urgent. The two leaders just announced a cease-fire,
thereby violating the guiding principle of the Bush Doctrine.
Michael Jackson's trial for child molestation was postponed
Monday after his lead attorney had a death in the family. The
trial is beyond embarrassing. Every time the judge calls a recess
Michael Jackson asks for directions to the playground.
The Air Force Academy suffered more bad publicity Tuesday
after the Colorado Springs Gazette reported alcohol offenses on
campus were up fifty-seven percent last semester alone. This can
only mean one thing. America West is recruiting again.
Los Angeles was astonished Tuesday after a federal
immigration judge ordered the deportation of a top fundraiser for
an Islamic charity. He wasn't hard to detect. The feds got
suspicious when he wired money home and it didn't go to Mexico.
Condi Rice in Paris Tuesday called for greater U.S.-French
cooperation. France refused to attack Iraq and now wants to
negotiate with Iran. At this rate Napoleon will remain the only
Frenchman honored at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City.
Bill Clinton spoke to a health care forum in North Carolina
Tuesday where he demanded medical insurance for all. He
acknowledged he has the same plan enjoyed by congressmen. Their
vasectomy coverage gives them a wide choice of veterinarians.
Watergate is commemorated in an exhibit of Bob Woodward and
Carl Bernstein's reporters' notes at the University of Texas. It
was a bitter time. Richard Nixon is the only president whose
official portrait was painted by a police sketch artist.
Palestinian terror group Hamas announced Monday they will
run candidates for the assembly. It's no surprise. Democracy has
caught fire in the Mideast since terrorists learned they can vote
themselves a pay raise if they can just get elected.
