President-Elect and new rejecter-in-chief, Barrack Hussein Obama, AKA "The One" and the "Messiah" has put himself in bad company. Barack wants to deny the legal appointment of his senate seat to the eminently qualified and legally appointed former Attorney General of Illinois, Roland Burris. .
As Black Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush has pointed out, Barack is positioned with White southern segregationist Democratic governors from 50 years ago. Tuesday, Obama has aligned with Democratic Senate Leader Harry "Power-Tool" Reid to block Senator Burris from entering the senate chambers.
Burris would be the only African American amongst the 100 sitting US Senators
"I HAVE A DREAM!" Martin Luther King
Below are several examples of racial struggles Democrats risk repeating.
Another Musical foray to the tune of "We Shall Overcome" derived from Charles Tinley's 1900 gospel song, "I'll Overcome Someday":
We shall overcome, Harry Reid and "The One."
Why are all the Dems treating us this way?
Oh deep in my heart, I do believe,
We shall overcome someday.
As Barrack/ Reid block senate door,
A move that we abhor,
The L-rd will see us through someday,
We shall overcome someday.
Walk hand and hand with Burris,
A totally honest jurist,
Do not for him lament,
He'll soon be in the senate
We shall overcome someday.
Transparency has prevented more revolutions than secrecy
Let's talk about the "market"…you know the one that's clearly out of control.
No, I'm not talking about the stock market.
I'm talking about the trade of cash and/or favors for political appointments. This is what the big hubbub is about. The sitting or jogging duly elected Governor Blagojevich is carrying out his duty. He remains without indictment or conviction of any crime. In this country, you're assumed innocent until proven guilty.
As a copout to his "all powerful stance," Reid has said he's willing to "negotiate" with Senator Burris.
I could be wrong, but I don't think the senate leader will be debating Senator Burris on the talents of the Cubs VS the White Sox.
They'll be discussing granting the seat to Burris if he guarantees his vote and/or pledges not to run in 2010 and who knows what else.
Are you listening Persecutor…I mean Prosecutor Fitzgerald? Sounds like it may be time to take Harry Reid down for…selling a United States Senate Seat. Wow. That sounds familiar!
I think Dems might want to avoid the spectacle of Bush calling up the Marines to escort Burris to his senate seat, through the Obama/Reid blockade, don't you?
