A PERSONAL REQUEST
IT IS NOT OFTEN that I make a personal request of my readers. But here is an important one. And it is not for me. The High Holy Days period, one of the few times, sadly, that Jews step foot in the synagogue, is less than a month away. For too many Jews, the services seem endless and boring. JWR is aiming to give away to any Jew in North America who requests it, a SUPERB book ($15 value) that will make Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur meaningful. If you are Jewish, do me a favor and order one by clicking on the ad under our masthead. I assure you, if you take the book with you to the synagogue on the Holy Days, your devotion will be significantly enhanced. IF YOU ARE NOT JEWISH, please tell any Jew you come in contact with about our giveaway by directing him to our cover. Assure him, if necessary, that the offer is being made by a Jewish group with JWR. PLEASE, folks, if you have e-mail "lists" of friends or are part of adult education groups or post to news groups, chat rooms, bulletin boards, etc. spread the word. And ask your friends and associates to do the same.
In sincere gratitude,
Binyamin L. Jolkovsky,
Editor in Chief,
