Intolerant, Racist, and Bigoted

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | As we round the corner to the last five months of the presidential elections (yes, it's been going on forever!), look for the far-left demagogues to attempt to ignite ugly racial passions by playing the race card - actually it'll probably be the entire DECK of race cards. This election shouldn't be about race. Of course it isn't about race at all - it's mostly about how best to move the country forward in terms of our economy and our foreign policy - but you'll never know it by what you'll be hearing.

The racial can of worms has already been opened and opened wide in the Democratic primary contest, so it will undoubtedly continue right up until November. Barack Obama, being half Black, has been positioned as the "Great Black Hope," so to speak. Consistently getting upwards of 92% of the black vote in primaries, he has become the candidate that the so called "black community" has now embraced and supports.

What is really important, however, should not be Obama's skin color - it is his political philosophy, his leadership abilities, and the programs he intends to implement. It is those facts which need to be brought out and discussed. Those of us who have been paying attention pretty much know where John McCain is coming from by now - what voters need to find out, is where Obama sits on the key issues of the day and how that compares with McCain. All that will come to light as Election Day nears.

Until then, race will be a large part of the equation, unfortunately. Making the election all about race is the quickest and easiest way to heat up emotions and divide up the electorate. The race-baiters, the people who make their money and careers out of stirring the pot and hammering on how "racist" America is, will do their best to get out the hate.

The message will be the same old tune. The far-left blogs supported by billionaire demagogues will spin the contest, making it seem like the white, powerful old establishment is once again attempting to keep the poor minorities down. John McCain looks the part of the old white guy in power. Barack Obama looks like the young minority kid who wants his chance at the American dream. It's all right out of Central Casting, isn't it?

As much as race will be played up, so will age. McCain is too old to lead, that will be the message. He is from the "old days." He represents "Washington establishment." He is "yesterday," Obama is "tomorrow." A vote for McCain is a vote for George Bush's third term. We need "change." We have heard these things already - we will hear more of them in the weeks ahead.

Of course Obama had a middle class upbringing, went to elite Eastern Ivy League schools, and actually had to "learn" the politics of victim hood and black separatism of the far left Chicago political machine. That's where his acquaintances with the Reverend Wright and the terrorists of the Weather Underground came into play. The real reason to either vote or not vote for Obama should be based on his far left politics, not on his race.

Undoubtedly there will be some people who will not vote for Obama simply because of his race - but far more will vote for him specifically BECAUSE of it. The majority of blacks, as we have already witnessed, will vote for him in droves purely because of his race. The white elite limousine liberals will vote for him for two reasons; one being his far-left views, and the other reason because they want desperately to have a black in the White House.

The truth of the matter is, McCain is a not a conservative Republican, no matter how much he says so. He is a left-of-center Republican who will be running against a far-left Democrat if Obama gets the nomination, which it looks like he will. The joke of late has been that Hillary is the most conservative of the three candidates, which in some regards she may well be - which is saying a lot since she has always been considered quite liberal.

So there you have out presidential election in the year 2008. A vote for Obama is a vote for the future, a vote for McCain is a vote for the past. A vote for Obama is a vote for progress, a vote for McCain is a vote for politics as usual. A vote for Obama is a vote for the underprivileged, a vote for the little guy. A vote for McCain is a vote for racism, bigotry, and intolerance.

None of that will be said out loud, of course, but that will be the great unspoken message coming from the left. "If you don't vote for Barack Obama, you must be a racist!" As ridiculous and stupid as that is, I guess it's easier to make that implication to the public than it is to really get into the details of his policies, patriotism, and programs. It also may be the best way to win the election.
