And now for the important news ....
Episcopal churches in Virginia seceded over same-sex marriage Sunday to join the Nigerian Anglican Union. Church of England congregations are being adopted by Africans. If nothing else, it tells Angelina Jolie that what goes around comes around.
Chicago Bear Tank Johnson was cited for possessing six guns Thursday. He was once arrested for training his dog to kill intruders. If the government doesn't raise salaries we're never going to attract the right man to head Homeland Security.
The Washington Post reported Sunday that Democrats at holiday parties are talking about Bill and Hillary's marriage. They wonder if he will wreck her chances of being elected. Everybody agrees on one thing, it would make a great Colombo episode.
Arlen Specter became the third senator Sunday to announce he'll fly to Syria and negotiate with Bashar Assad. Every Axis of Evil leader has two demands. After destroying the state of Israel they want to be tried by the Senate Ethics Committee.
Tony Blair made a surprise trip to Baghdad Sunday where he assured the Iraqi leader he stands by him. He slipped in and out of the country quietly out of concern for his physical safety. It is the same way he goes to Labor Party meetings.
The La Scala Opera House in Milan made news last Sunday when the audience booed tenor Roberto Alagna off the stage. His onstage antics are legendary. Roberto Alagna once held a high-C for a full minute, but how often do you back into a spear?
