When you've lost John Stewart...

By Laura Ingraham

JewishWorldReview.com | Need some shutdown belly laughs?

Liberal writer and Obama apologist Andrew Sullivan lacerates HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius after her appearance on the Daily Show with John Stewart:

"The HHS secretary was so incoherent [last night], so incapable of even basic reasoning, so tied to exhausted talking points, so unable to concede, let alone explain, error, that she would be fired if she were a spokesperson for a minor member of Congress," Sullivan mused. But he wasn't done... "Why could she offer no plausible reason for why corporations with over 50 employees got an extra year to comply, while individuals don't? This was a very friendly media environment, and she was given acres of time to give even a small explanation. And she was worse than useless."

Sullivan makes a great point. The Obama administration and HHS have the media in their pocket. I would even go as far as to argue that Stewart had her on the show to grant her the opportunity to allay the fears of the public over Obamacare's horrible rollout. The fact is she didn't just fail to explain, she failed to answer - she completely ducked the question.

Sullivan continued, "Part of an official's job is to be able to be accountable to the public for failures, to help explain them, to give an idea of how they are going to be addressed. She failed... Why is the president content with that kind of grotesque incompetence and lack of accountability? And when will she be fired?"

Sullivan is correct that Sebelius should be fired, but he assumes it's because she is incompetent - the fact is Obamacare itself is inherently flawed. Who would have thought that those stupid, mouth-breathing Tea Partiers knew more about the capabilities of the Federal Government than geniuses like Andrew Sullivan?
