Jewish World Review Sept. 29, 2019

The News in Zingers

By Argus Hamilton

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce released a list of ten reasons to live in and do business in the Entertainment Capital of the World. For many years I've been stuck here in Hollywood, but this is such a friendly place. You don't have neighbors out here in Hollywood, you just have witnesses.

The Music Man won a poll as Americans' favorite musical show of all time. Coincidentally on this weekend in 1892, John Philip Sousa and his band played publicly together for the first time at the Stillman Music Hall in Plainfield, New Jersey. They were the opening act for the Rolling Stones.

The Coast Guard seized twelve thousand pounds of cocaine off a submarine they'd tracked heading for California Wednesday. Disappointed federal agents concluded that the Coast Guard was lured into intercepting the decoy boat. The other submarine was the one full of the plastic straws.

President Trump returned to Washington from three days in New York breathing fire against House Democrats. Hours after Trump arrived, Pelosi adjourned the House for two weeks before they could storm the White House or he could storm Capitol Hill. The restraining order says one mile.

Adam Schiff opened House hearings on the Ukraine phone call scandal Thursday by making up what Trump told Ukraine president, using a Mafia boss scenario. Schiff later claimed it was parody, although it got no laughs. Iran is less dangerous than comedy in the hands of an Open Miker.

Joe Biden went on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and shrugged off revelations that are coming out of the Ukraine phone call scandal about his son Hunter. He's a politician to the bone. When you're a Democrat, you've got to name your son Hunter just to split the NRA vote in Delaware.

Republicans insisted Hunter Biden be investigated for the foreign deals he received while his dad was VP. Hunter was kicked out of the Navy five years ago for doing cocaine while on duty. They got suspicious when he set a Navy record by swabbing the deck of an aircraft carrier in eight minutes.

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg addressed environmental groups in New York Friday following her scathing indictment of mankind in her UN speech. The sixteen-year-old skipped school to save the world from destruction. I think the last thing we need in politics is another scofflaw.

The Wall Street Journal quoted sociologists who say the technological advances that produced social media have altered human behavior like no other twenty-year period in history. Times have really changed in the last twenty years. Today a president faces impeachment for opening HIS mouth.

Nancy Pelosi threw down the gauntlet Wednesday and announced House Democrats will hold an impeachment probe of President Trump. It's nothing they haven't already been doing for the past two and a half years. I think the biggest news all week is that Ukraine has reliable phone service.

House Democrats moved to impeach Trump for intriguing with Ukraine to expose Joe Biden's Ukraine intrigue. It gets sillier each minute. A second transcript has emerged of Trump asking Trudeau on the phone if wearing blackface helps your jokes get bigger laughs from a white audience.

House Democrats claimed that Trump offered Ukraine's president military aid then asked him for dirt on Hunter Biden. He'd snared two huge lucrative deals with Ukraine and China while his father was the VP. Liz Warren doesn't have a drop of Indian blood and even she can read those smoke signals.
