Let the wise be your guide but not your God.
— Rabbi David Aaron

UPDATED

With the understanding that we have a number of non-Jewish readers, please find a slew of new articles -- thought provoking ones of various varieties -- below.

Please also check out our many features that you might not otherwise avail yourself to. There are lots of treasures waiting to be found.

All work was completed before the onset of the holy days.

We are suspending publication in observance of Rosh Hashana, in which Jewish tradition tells us the world -- and all who inhabit it -- are judged.

While there will be, of course, celebratory meals shared with family and almost-family, for much of the next 48 hours, observant Jews will spend most of the day and even part of the night in prayer and study. It's a solemn time of reflection and joyous anticipation of what is to come in the year ahead.

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your readership and ongoing kindness that keeps me going and the site alive!

May the coming year be one of health, happiness and inspiration!
