The most beautiful thing man can do is to forgive.
— Rabbi Eleazar ben-Yehuda

UPDATED

JWR values EACH AND EVERY READER!

We are suspending publication in observance of Rosh Hashana, in which Jewish tradition tells us the world -- and all who inhabit it -- are judged.

While there will be, of course, celebratory meals shared with family and almost-family, for much of the next 48 hours, observant Jews will spend the day and part of the night in prayer and study. It's a solemn time of reflection and joyous anticipation of what is to come in the year ahead.

Then comes the Sabbath.

With the understanding that we have a number of non-Jewish readers, please find a number of new articles and toons below. Please also check out our many features -- toons and columnists -- below that you might not otherwise avail yourself to. There are lots of treasures waiting to be found.

All work was completed before the onset of the holy days.

May the coming year be one of health, happiness and inspiration!
