And now for the important news ....
Pope Benedict was burned in effigy by Arabs Monday for slamming Islam. Their demands are simple. The Muslims want the pope to apologize for saying Islam is a violent religion, and then they want to cut off his head and burn down his church.
Senator Hillary Clinton addressed reporters in New York Tuesday and defended Pope Benedict in his feud with the Muslims. The pope and Mrs. Clinton have a lot in common. Over the last thirty years only Hillary has listened to more confessions.
Sen. George Allen admitted he's part Jewish after losing his temper when he was questioned about it Monday. A reporter asked him if his French mother was Jewish and he called it an aspersion. No politician in Virginia wants to be thought of as French.
The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric won the viewer ratings for the second straight week by a razor-thin margin. The battle is about to be joined. NBC just ordered Brian Williams to the wardrobe department to be fitted for fishnet stockings.
