And now for the important news ....
By Argus Hamilton
Hurricane Katrina belted Alabama and Mississippi and
Louisiana Monday before heading into Tennessee. The victims have
one question. How long will it be before they stop naming these
things after women and start naming them after Union generals?
Rap music mogul Suge Knight was shot in the leg Sunday at a
party for the MTV Video Awards. Every major rap star was there.
The party must have been in honor of Beethoven and Stevie Wonder
because nobody heard anything and nobody saw anything.
Martin Sheen went to Cindy Sheehan's protest site in
Crawford Sunday to speak to peace activists. The actor truly hates
death. For five years more Americans have preferred to watch
dramas about forensic pathology than him in the Oval Office.
U.S. Army authorities in Baghdad announced on Saturday the
release of over one thousand Iraqi prisoners being held inside the
infamous Abu Ghraib prison. The rehabilitation has been
incredible. Not a one of them is ashamed of his body anymore.
Lance Armstrong on Friday hotly denied a French newspaper
article that cited testing data showing he used steroids in the
Tour de France six years ago. If it's not true, it's libel. If
it's true, just think of the ballplayer he might have been.
