CNN needs a geography lesson

By Binyamin L. Jolkovsky

http://www.jewishworldreview.com -- ONE NICKNAME CNN has been given in recent years is the "Clinton News Network." Critics have so dubbed it, due to the constant -- and often shameless -- defense of our Philanderer in Chief's exploits.

While CNN's news coverage attempted to give the air of objectivity, these days, even that seems to have ended. In fact, the network's reports often resemble rewrites of White House talking points.

It is also no secret that in his quest for a legacy, Bill Clinton, during the recent Camp David summit, was strong-arming Israel to make irrational concessions regarding the sovereignty and security of its capitol. At the last moment, thankfully, the Jewish State's peace "partner," terrorist-cum-statesman Yassar Arafat, foolishly backed out.

Well, somebody should have alerted CNN.

It seems that cyber surfers with too much time on their hands can now research how hot summers are in the almost always hot and arid Middle East. And CNN.com offers these intellectually stimulated folks quite a few locations to chose from. There is Bahrain, and the city of Al Manamha; Egypt with listings for Alexandria, Cairo, Giza, and Luxor.

And ...

And then there is Jerusalem.

Yes, just "Jerusalem."

No country.

No state.

An entity all its own.

(Israel, at CNN.com, is listed separately. [See the graphic above for Jerusalem category or click here for the full locations list.])

Those of us who care about the security of the Jewish State, a country about the size of New Jersey, often complain about media bias against her. Too often we are dismissed as "hyper-sensitive."

Kinda makes ya wonder, huh?
