Only print the portions of a web page you want

Even with more Web sites offering printer-friendly buttons, it's still easy to waste a lot of ink trying to print from the Web. Hewlett-Packard's free Smart Web Printing software lets you print only the parts of a Web page you want. You don't need an HP printer and the software works with both Internet Explorer (6.0 or higher) and Firefox (version 2 only). The software only works on Windows computers.
1. Go to snipurl.com/2eq4a and click on "Free download." Scroll down and click on "Download only" and follow the instructions to download and install the program.
2. After it's finished installing, launch your Internet browser.
3. The next time you want to print something from a Web site, click on the HP Smart Web Printing icon at the top of your browser. Then click and drag your cursor over the area you want to print. When you are finished, release your cursor.
4. You will then be given a few options for what to do with the area of the Web page you just selected. You can choose to print your clip, or, if you choose to "clip" your selection, it will be saved in your "ClipBook," which you can access at any time.
5. The selections you add to your ClipBook can be printed or edited by choosing "ClipBook" from the drop-down menu next to the Smart Web Printing icon in your browser.
