  After Orlando, the Spin begins

The horrific attack at an Orlando gay bar by a Muslim who had sworn allegiance to Isis is probably going to be spun as a hate crime. The killer's father has already told the media that his son was disgusted by the sight of a man kissing another man. See! It's homophobia: an assault on the civil rights of the LGBTQ community. Now let's wait for the video to appear that will explain what drove Omar Mateen to slaughter 50 people and wound 53 others. The fact that it is Ramadan and that Omar was well trained and shouted Allahu Akbar while shooting the innocents will be dismissed as well as the fact that he was a registered Democrat. The blame will instead be put on Donald Trump's hateful rhetoric and the NRA gun crowd.

On ABC, liberal iconic journalist, Tom Brokaw just had to blame the slaughter on the popularity of guns in America. He intoned, "Everything seems to get settled by a gun for whatever reasons." Of course, liberals never seem to address the fact that criminals and terrorists have no problem getting guns nor do they ever mention the times that guns in the right hands sometimes prevents carnage. Since the Democrats and Obama took office in 2009, there have been several mass killings in spite of the heavy gun control legislation in place. These incidents are more likely to take place in gun-free areas where the innocent unarmed are easy targets.

After the Paris jihadist attack on Charlie Hebdo, a French satirical magazine, for publishing the Mohammed cartoons, anti-jihad activist, Pamela Geller, held a Mohammed cartoon contest in Garland, Texas in May 2015. She chose that occasion because it had hosted in January an anti-Islamaphobia event called, 'Stand by the Prophet'. The organizers of the cartoon contest event were fully prepared for an attack and two jihadist gunmen were subsequently shot and killed by security police.

After reading some reports on the 'alleged' killer, Omar Mateen, I have come to the conclusion that the current FBI is a pathetic joke; ditto, the Department of Homeland Security. Neither agency seems to want to admit that we are at war with Islamic terrorists. We have learned that Mr. Mateen was on an FBI watch list which managed to take him off because they couldn't tie him to terrorism.

Several years ago, I went to a seminar on liberal tourism which dealt with the increasing defamation suits against writers filed in countries with weak libel laws. I met Mark Steyn who discussed his own battle with global warming activist Michael Mann's suit against Steyn and the danger of PC fights against free speech. One of the other guests was Frank Gaffney who warned that the FBI was undergoing sensitivity training by Muslim civil rights groups. An official assured a group at a town hall meeting that FBI headquarters has an Arabic curriculum, which includes Muslim culture, to expose agents to Islam and cultivate a better understanding of the faith. "We all need to learn and understand each other," the unnamed official said, adding that the Muslim sensitivity program is part of basic training for agents.

Well that explains why the FBI doesn't take suspects like Omar seriously. One of the San Bernardino jihadists also had a connection with FBI watch list individuals. I also seem to recall that the Boston marathon bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev , was under investigation by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) which notified the FBI that he was a possible terrorist. The FBI conducted some interviews and found nothing there so closed the case.

This is not J. Edgar Hoover's FBI. This FBI reminds me of that commercial by Lifelock. A bank is being robbed and the customers are telling what they think is a security guard to do something. He answers, "I'm not a guard. I'm a monitor. I'm supposed to tell you there's a robbery. There's a robbery." The FBI monitors terrorism then looks the other way so it won't offend the community.

The FBI is supposedly conducting a criminal investigation on Hillary Clinton's email server which allegedly contained classified information on CIA spies. Because no one knew she even had this server that was so easily hacked, she'll probably get away with pleading ignorance. How likely is it that Obama's Department of Justice headed by AG Loretta Lynch will bring a case to the Grand Jury? Not bloody likely, eh?

We will now see the spin machine at work spun by the Washington Post, The NY Times, the LA Times and the other lamestream media calling for an end to hate crimes, homophobia and guns but they will never mention anything negative about the religion of peace.

You have been warned.
