Dems Defeat Bill to Ban Sex-Selection Abortions

By Laura Ingraham

JewishWorldReview.com | So we can ban super-sized drinks, but not this barbaric procedure?

A handful of GOPers voted against this commonsense bill that would have protected vulnerable women from the hideous coercion of their husbands or partners who want offspring of one gender over another (usually boys over girls).

China's vicious campaign against girls has arrived on American shores. Rep. Ron Paul an OB/GYN, voted with the Democrats, perhaps out of a federalism concern.

The argument by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee and other left-wing abortion fanatics is that this law would have led to women being "dragged out of doctor's offices" in an effort to prevent their "personal decisions" as doctors try to guess women's motivations for the procedure.

This is poppycock: in fact, the bill actually reads: "Nothing in this Act shall be construed to require that a healthcare provider has an affirmative duty to inquire as to the motivation for the abortion, absent the healthcare provider having knowledge or information that the abortion is being sought based on the sex or gender of the child."

Sex-selection abortion is pure barbarism, barbarism which Pres. Obama apparently has no quarrel with.

Remember, he's the guy who said he'd never want his young daughters "punished with a baby" if they should have an unwanted pregnancy.
