And now for the important news ....
John Edwards neared indictment for spending campaign money to help hide his lovechild and mistress. He convinced a one-hundred-year-old widow to send him cash hidden in boxes of chocolate. If the rapture had arrived on schedule Saturday he would have gotten away with it.
Peter Fonda told the Cannes Film Festival Tuesday he is training his grandchildren to use rifles to protect themselves from Obama. Talk about a bad acid trip. It took forty years for nut who shot Peter Fonda off his motorcycle in Easy Rider to morph into Peter Fonda.
President Obama assured the British Parliament Wednesday that the Allies have turned the corner in Afghanistan. It looked bad this month when five hundred Taliban prisoners tunneled their way out of prison in Kabul and escaped. It showed someone's got an exit strategy.
Donald Trump said Tuesday he may reverse last week's decision and run for U.S. president this fall. As soon as the ink dried on his new NBC contract he started flirting with the idea of running again. This is the first time in his married life he's ever cheated on a television network.
The U.S. Supreme Court ordered California to release thirty-two thousand state prisoners Monday to relieve overcrowding. They say the prison medical care is way backed up. The state can no longer afford to house and feed guys who rob banks just for the free hernia surgery.
President Obama raised eyebrows Monday when he agreed to allow television cameras to show him inside an Irish pub drinking a pint of Guinness beer with the local citizenry. They loved him for the gesture. When alcohol does its taxes every April it lists Ireland as a dependent.
