And now for the important news ....
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt gave three hundred grand to the
African country of Namibia. It's for guarding their privacy during
the birth of their daughter. They must be known for their Italian
food because afterward everyone dined on paparazzi.
House Speaker Denny Hastert defended Congressman William
Jefferson after his office was raided by the FBI. It doesn't
matter that he's a Democrat. At the rate the Republicans spend tax
dollars they are practically rallying to a comrade's side.
Hillary Clinton gave a major energy policy speech at the
National Press Club in Washington last week. Don't count her out.
Hillary Clinton has tremendous name recognition, and if she can
overcome that she has a chance to become president.
An Inconvenient Truth narrated by Al Gore was released in
theaters on Friday and warned of global warming dangers. In the
movie, the former vice president is relaxed and witty. Global
warming is so bad that even Al Gore's starting to thaw.
South Korea announced Monday that it will resume importing
U.S. beef following last year's Mad Cow scare. The devil's in the
details. If we have to resume importing their chickens in return,
it has the creepy sound of a mutual suicide pact.
The U.S. government sent two and a half million dollars to
Indonesia Sunday to help provide relief for victims of the recent
earthquake. The government there said it will have to support
fifty thousand people for at least three months. No one's seen anything
like it since Wilt Chamberlain was ordered to pay child support.
