USC was rocked Sunday by charges of rape and drug use and
NCAA violations by the football team. The school is taking it
seriously. They just took the team picture out of the yearbook to
make witness identification as difficult as possible.
USC star Reggie Bush's parents moved out of the San Diego
home where they had lived rent-free during football season. He was
drafted by the New Orleans Saints Saturday. It's just what New
Orleans needs, one more family without a place to live.
Mexico's Congress voted Friday to legalize the possession of
cocaine and pot in small amounts. The lawmakers went wild. In
addition, every Thursday night will be Seventies Night and Charlie
Sheen's birthday is now a national holiday in Mexico.
The Great American Boycott was held by Hispanic protesters
Monday in support of immigrant workers' rights. A new labor report
says one out of every seven U.S. workers today was born outside
the United States. The other six still live in India.
Hispanics took off work Monday in support of what they claim
are the rights of illegal immigrants. They all protested by
staying home. Counter-protesters weren't afraid to risk serious
injury because there weren't any lines at all in the emergency room.
The Weather Channel reported high surf in Southern
California Saturday along with shark sightings up and down the
West Coast. Yesterday a surfer lost his arm and his leg near
Malibu. He was filling up his van at a Chevron station at the time.
The Pentagon confirmed plans Friday to test a bunker-busting nuclear bomb in the Nevada desert in four weeks. No one's panicking at all in Las Vegas. They believe that with enough radiation in the air they will be able to see through cards.
