Clint Eastwood was the toast of Hollywood on Sunday, winning
Best Picture and Best Director for Million Dollar Baby. The film
needed the plug. Until now most people assumed Million Dollar Baby
was a documentary about the high cost of tuition.
Million Dollar Baby enraged conservatives with its tolerance
for pulling the plug on human life. The entertainment community
can't be bothered with concerns about euthanasia. All the focus
right now is on the youth in Michael Jackson's house.
Billy Bush interviewed the movie stars before the Oscar
telecast Sunday. The entertainment reporter and presidential
nephew is highly articulate and laid back and very well-liked in
Hollywood. He's considered the black sheep of the family.
President Bush greets the Boston Red Sox at the White House
today. Last fall they won the World Series. Their victory ended an
eighty-six-year-old hex and left Ted Kennedy the last guy in
Boston with the Curse of the Babe hanging over him.
Hunter Thompson will be memorialized with a statue and
library exhibit fully funded by his estate. Executors are now
looking for a college to put the statue and library. This is a perfect
chance for Oklahoma University to make amends for banning alcohol.
