New Orleans celebrates Mardi Gras in the French Quarter this
evening despite hurricane damage. Tens of thousands of college
kids arrived Friday. They were the first to volunteer to go down
there and help drink the economy back on its feet.
Mexican Army units were witnessed crossing the border into
the United States Thursday, providing illegal aliens an armed
escort into America. It's worse than it looks. They came through
the port of Los Angeles inside a container from China.
President Bush said Friday America shouldn't object to Arabs
owning U.S. ports if they don't object to Britain owning U.S.
ports. It continued his streak of never being wrong about
anything. There's no denying America's special relationship with
the Emirate ever since the thirteen colonies separated from the
Ottoman Empire.
Bob Dole stated Friday he was hired by Dubai Ports World to
lobby the public for approval of the company's takeover of six
U.S. ports, insisting he was not hired to lobby Congress. He's a
familiar face. Every week Bob Dole plays the deceased on CSI.
Hillary Clinton got great reviews for her grilling of White
House officials in U.S. Senate hearings about the safety of the
ports deal. She was on fire. The president has asked everyone to
trust him and she's never falling for that line again.
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton slammed the world
body Saturday. He said it's riddled with bad management and sex
scandals and corruption. ABC immediately called him up and ordered
six episodes of Desperate Diplomats for the fall schedule.
H&R Block admitted Thursday that they made a thirty-two million dollar error on the company's own taxes. All their financial filings were a mess. They advised Berkshire-Hathaway that when Warren Buffet turns one hundred they should split him two for one.
