The U.S. asked the Czech Republic Saturday if it will allow the U.S. to build a missile defense system there. Russia warned Czech officials not to allow it. When Russia means business their threats escalate from warning to ultimatum to dinner in London.
Washington Post humorist Art Buchwald was eulogized by friends Friday after a long and hilarious career. Reports of his death may be exaggerated. Every comedian thought he had died and gone to heaven when Hillary Clinton announced she is running for president.
Senator Hillary Clinton issued a statement Saturday announcing she's running for president. Her husband looked so proud he was was bursting at the seams. She hasn't even been elected yet and already he's having trouble keeping his clothes on.
Illinois U.S. Senator Barack Obama addressed reporters Friday and announced he was forming a presidential exploratory committee. The next morning he got a good luck card from Hillary Clinton's office. It was in an envelope full of white powder.
The Shark Alliance declared Saturday the world's shark population is dwindling fast. The government has tagged hundreds of sharks to record their sounds and their whereabouts. The thinking is, if sharks are innocent they have nothing to hide.
Royal Caribbean executives testified before Congress Thursday. Hundreds of cases of groping have been reported by women on their cruises. The Democrats have been in power for fifteen days and already unwanted sexual advances are back in the news.
The California Assembly considered Monday whether to move up the presidential primary to early February. It'll be great for the candidates. Why spend six months shaking hands with every voter in New Hampshire and listening to their views when for the same money you can have a thirty-second ad on the Channel Four News in Los Angeles?
